11×14 watercolor. Painted in truck at a truckstop in Mt.Vernon, TX. Inspiration hit me that hot summer afternoon after making my delivery at Lowe’s distribution center. Didn’t think it was all good, was on the verge of a ripping it up, which I do when I’m in the heat of creating. After both faces were painted I made some last quick moving black swirling marks. On the left face the marks looked like horns so I called her She-devil, put my attention to the right face and grabbed my pocketknife and scraped across painted face and wa-la the Leper was created. A month later I entered this in the Tennessee State Fair in 2013 and won 3rd place.
